Slit-lamp fundus photography

Journal of Audiovisual Media in Medicine, 1987
We describe the techniques of fundus photography using a photo-slit lamp and the Goldmann 3 mirror contact lens or the Volk 90 dioptre lens. We compare and contrast this method with standard fundus photography and discuss the problems encountered and their correction.

Vascular Density of the Anterior Segment of the Eye Determined by Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography and Slit-Lamp Photography

Ophthalmic Research, 2020
Objective: To determine the vascular density of the anterior segment (AS) of the eye from optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) images and slit-lamp photographs. Methods: A swept-source OCTA (Plex Elite 9000; Carl Zeiss) device modified with a +

Conjunctival Vessels in Diabetes Using Functional Slit Lamp Biomicroscopy

Cornea, 2020
Purpose: This study used functional slit lamp biomicroscopy (FSLB) to quantify conjunctival microvessel parameters in individuals with and without diabetes and examined whether these metrics could be used as surrogate markers of diabetes-related ...

Considerations in the use of slit lamp shields to reduce the risk of respiratory virus transmission in coronavirus disease 2019.

Current Opinion in Ophthalmology, 2020
PURPOSE OF REVIEW The use of slit lamp shields has been recommended by the American Academy of Ophthalmology as an infection control measure during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. However, there is limited evidence regarding its efficacy to reduce

Slit-Lamp Gonioscopy.

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1962
Gonioscopy has grown to occupy a prominent position in ophthalmology as an essential method in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the anterior segment of the eye. The second edition of Slit-Lamp Gonioscopy deals comprehensively with the anatomy of the chamber angle, the history and technique of gonioscopy, and the interpretation of findings in

Slit Lamp Fluorophotometry

Optical Engineering, 1976
A slit lamp fluorometer is described which can be used to measure the tear volume and tear turnover rate. The instrument is made principally from commercially available components and is easy to operate. Preliminary results indicate that the fluorometer measurements are accurate, reliable, and can be applied to a clinical environment.

The Orthoptic Slit Lamp

Strabismus, 2013
Recently we presented our concept of "videography with the slit lamp," which provides an imaging solution for nearly every pathological finding in ophthalmology. This paper deals with the changes that must be made to prepare the slit lamp for documenting squint. To achieve this goal we propose: 1.

On slit-lamp microscopy

Documenta Ophthalmologica, 1975
Theoretically the contact lens with a refractive power of -64 dioptres is superior to the concave pre-set lens (Hruby lens) or the convex lens (Bayadi). In practice the results are as follows: With the convex lens the examination of the vitreous is unsatisfactory.

Cornea verticillata in Fabry disease: a comparative study between slit-lamp examination and in vivo corneal confocal microscopy

British Journal of Ophthalmology, 2019
Purpose To compare the diagnostic power of slit-lamp examination with the in vivo corneal confocal microscopy (IVCM) as the gold standard in assessing the presence of corneal epithelial deposits in patients with Fabry disease (FD).

Repeatability and Reproducibility of Slit Lamp, Optical Coherence Tomography, and Scheimpflug Measurements of Corneal Scars

Ophthalmic Epidemiology, 2019
Purpose: To determine the repeatability and reproducibility of anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) and Scheimpflug photography for several measurements of corneal scars, including scar size, scar depth, and corneal thickness.
