WDM soliton transmission system using dispersion slope compensators

IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 1999
A new scheme of dispersion slope compensator by writing Bragg gratings at different positions in a dispersion compensation fiber is proposed for the wavelength division multiplexing soliton transmission system. This scheme can compensate in-line for the accumulated dispersion of each channel and suppress the dispersive waves which are caused by the ...

Broad band dispersion slope compensation of dispersion shifted fiber using negative slope fiber

24th European Conference on Optical Communication. ECOC '98 (IEEE Cat. No.98TH8398), 2002
The dispersion of zero and/or non-zero dispersion shifted fiber (DSF) at 1550 nm was compensated to be flat about 30 nm band-range, by connecting with dispersion slope compensating fiber, with negative slope of 20 times larger absolute value than DSF.

POLSAR data compensation for terrain azimuth slope variation

IEEE 1999 International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium. IGARSS'99 (Cat. No.99CH36293), 2003
This paper addresses the problem of polarimetric SAR data correction for slope induced radar cross section variations in the azimuth direction. Most radiometric slope corrections remove slope effects in the range direction to account for local incidence angle variation. Two approaches to compensate azimuth slope effects are proposed.

Feed-Forward Slope Compensated PFC for Chaos Control

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2015
Based on the dual-loop control peak current mode power factor correction (PFC) converter, a feed-forward slope compensation method is proposed, which could regulate the compensated slope real-time and suppress the loop perturbation, thus controlling chaos of the system for better stability.

A state observation and torque compensation–based acceleration slip regulation control approach for a four-wheel independent drive electric vehicle under slope driving

, 2020
Wheel slipping of four-wheel independent drive electric vehicle on slope will reduce vehicle controllability and driving stability, thereby reducing vehicle safety.

Slope Compensating DCF for S-band Raman Amplifier

Optical Amplifiers and Their Applications, 2001
S-band DCF suitable for DCRA was developed. It can compensate dispersion slope of SMF between 1470nm and 1500nm completely. The DCRA using this fiber compensates attenuation loss of transmission line with same pumping power as conventional DCF.

Current-Mode Converters with Adjustable-Slope Compensating Ramp

APCCAS 2006 - 2006 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems, 2006
Sub-harmonic oscillation is a well-known problem in DC/DC converters with current mode control. To avoid this problem, a method to achieve adjustable-slope compensation is proposed. This method makes the compensating ramp slope appropriate for various output voltage levels. Besides solving the sub-harmonic oscillation problem, this method can also make

Fiber Bragg grating fabrication for dispersion slope compensation

IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 1996
Group-delay dispersion slope causes signal deterioration in long-distance high-data-rate communication systems. We report the fabrication of high-quality apodized and chirped fiber gratings with dispersion slopes as high as -1800 ps/nm/sup -2/ over a 0.7-mn bandwidth-sufficient to compensate for the dispersion slope of >25000-km length of standard ...

A multi-channel dispersion slope compensating optical allpass filter

Optical Fiber Communication Conference. Technical Digest Postconference Edition. Trends in Optics and Photonics Vol.37 (IEEE Cat. No. 00CH37079), 2002
A multi-channel dispersion slope compensating filter based on a Gires-Tournois interferometer with a specially designed thin-film filter is presented. The allpass filter has low loss, and negligible birefringence.

Gain slope compensator for spectrally linear optical power equalization

1999 IEEE LEOS Annual Meeting Conference Proceedings. LEOS'99. 12th Annual Meeting. IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society 1999 Annual Meeting (Cat. No.99CH37009), 2003
We present a micromechanical optical interference device that produces changes in the slope (in dB) of its transmitted spectrum via a single voltage control, without changes in attenuation level, a Spectrally Linear Optical Power Equalizer, or SLOPE device.
