Lagrangian Differencing Dynamics for microgravity sloshing

Accurate prediction of sloshing is mandatory for spacecraft and rocket design, i.e. for understanding propellant behaviour and response during spacecraft flight operations. The predictions ensure adequate settling before engine burn, and reliable vehicle control during the mission.

Zero Dynamics Analysis for Spacecraft with Fuel Slosh

This paper presents a novel stability analysis of the zero dynamics of nonlinear dynamic models of spacecraft with fuel slosh. Mathematical models based on a Lagrange formulation are used, with the pendulum analogy of a typical spacecraft with fuel slosh dynamics, to include the behavior of the liquid dynamics coupled to the spacecraft.
