Observation of Slow Magnetic Relaxation in Discrete Dysprosium Cubane
Inorganic Chemistry, 2009A discrete dysprosium cubane has been prepared and structurally characterized. Slow relaxation of magnetization in this complex is observed, which may stimulate further investigations into the dynamics of magnetization in lanthanide clusters with different topologies.

We have demonstrated the effect of a solvent at the second coordination sphere on slow relaxation of magnetization for hepta-coordinated cobalt(II) complexes with the formulas [Co(H4L)(DMF)(H2O)](NO3)2·(DMF) (1), [Co(H4L)(MeOH)(H2O)](NO3)2·(MeOH) (2 ...

Slow Magnetic Relaxation in a Mononuclear Ruthenium(III) Complex
Chemistry – A European Journal, 2017AbstractThe development of magnetic molecules with long spin reversal/decoherence times highly depends on the understanding of relaxation behavior under different external conditions. Herein, a magnetic study on a RuIII complex (1) is presented. Detailed analysis of the relaxation time and the magneto‐heat capacity data suggests that the resonant ...

Slow Magnetic Relaxation in a Lanthanide-[1]Metallocenophane Complex
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2017The first example of a lanthanide metallocenophane complex has been isolated as [Li(THF)4][DyFc3Li2(THF)2] (1). The molecular structure of complex 1 differs dramatically from those of main group and transition metal ferrocenophane complexes and features a distorted trigonal prismatic geometry around the Dy(III) ion and close intramolecular Dy···Fe ...

Chiral 1D Dy(iii) compound showing slow magnetic relaxation
Dalton Transactions, 2011Herein, we present one chiral Dy(III) compound, namely Dy(L)(3)(1, HL = 2-methylbenzoic acid), synthesized from the achiral HL ligand. Within 1, along a direction the seven-coordinated Dy(III) ion are bridged by double L carboxylate and single L oxygen to give rise to the 1D helical chain.

Two-dimensional heterometallic CuIILnIII (Ln = Gd, Tb and Dy) coordination polymers bridged by dicyanamides showed slow magnetic relaxation behaviour and a magnetic hysteresis loop at 1.8 K was observed for the CuTb compound.

Slow magnetic relaxation in lanthanide ladder type coordination polymers
Dalton Trans., 2014A series of four isostructural lanthanide-containing one dimensional coordination polymers with picolinic (pic) and glutaric (glu) acids, Ln(glu)(pic)(H2O)2, where Ln = Gd(III) (1), Tb(III) (2), Dy(III) (3) and Er(III) (4) were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and structurally characterized by powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction ...
