Spin Diffusion and Relaxation in a Nonuniform Magnetic Field

open access: yes, 2005
We consider a quasiclassical model that allows us to simulate the process of spin diffusion and relaxation in the presence of a highly nonuniform magnetic field.

Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Reversible Switching of Single-Molecule Magnetic Behaviour by Desorption/Adsorption of Solvent Ligand in a New Dy(III)-Based Metal Organic Framework

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2021
Two metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), [Dy(BDC)(NO3)(DMF)2]n (1, H2BDC = terephthalic acid) and [Dy(BDC)(NO3)]n (1a), were synthesized. The structures of MOFs 1 and 1a are easy to be reversibly transformed into each other by the desorption or adsorption of

Influence of oxygen ordering kinetics on Raman and optical response in YBa_2Cu_3O_{6.4}

open access: yes, 1995
Kinetics of the optical and Raman response in YBa_2Cu_3O_{6.4} were studied during room temperature annealing following heat treatment. The superconducting T_c, dc resistivity, and low-energy optical conductivity recover slowly, implying a long ...

Sympathetic cooling of polyatomic molecules with S-state atoms in a magnetic trap [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present a rigorous theoretical study of low-temperature collisions of polyatomic molecular radicals with ^1S_0 atoms in the presence of an external magnetic field.

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Numerical modelling of inverse wire array Z-pinch magnetic reconnection

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
In this paper, a relaxation magnetohydrodynamic model is used to study magnetic reconnection phenomena in pulsed-power-driven Z-pinch inverse wire arrays. We focus on certain characteristics of two distinct modes that differ by resistivity.

Counterintuitive Single-Molecule Magnet Behaviour in Two Polymorphs of One-Dimensional Compounds Involving Chiral BINOL-Derived Bisphosphate Ligands

open access: yesMagnetochemistry, 2021
The coordination reaction of the [Dy(hfac)3(H2O)2] units (hfac− = 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoroacetylacetonate) with the [8′-(Diphenoxylphosphinyl)[1,1′-binaphthalen]-8-yl]diphenoxylphosphine oxide ligand (L) followed by a crystallisation in a 1:3 CH2Cl2:n ...

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.
