The SLS Optics Beamline

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2007
A multipurpose beamline for tests and developments in the field of x-ray optics and synchrotron radiation instrumentation in general is under construction at the Swiss Light Source (SLS) bending magnet X05DA. The beamline uses a newly developed UHV compatible, 100 um thick, brazed CVD diamond vacuum window.

On the non-existence of cocompact lattices for $SL(n)/SL(m)$ [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Research Letters, 1995
The authors show that for \(m \geq 2\), \(n \geq m + 3\), the homogeneous space \(M = SL(n, \mathbb{R})/SL(m, \mathbb{R})\) does not admit a cocompact lattice (i.e., a discrete subgroup \(\Gamma \subseteq SL (n, \mathbb{R})\) acting freely and properly discontinuously on \(M\) such that the quotient manifold \(\Gamma\backslash M\) is compact). For \(n >

Exploring the influence of lactoferrin on wound healing and related signaling pathways: a systematic review

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Lactoferrin promotes wound healing by activating MAPK, PI3K/Akt, and extracellular matrix pathways, enhancing fibroblast remodeling, proliferation, and re‐epithelialization. These mechanisms highlight its therapeutic potential in inflammation control, tissue repair, and remodeling.
