Post‐Synthetic Zinc Modifications to Correct Speciation in Ti‐MWW Zeolites for Catalytic Oxidation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Post‐synthetic Zn modifications of Ti‐MWW zeolite catalysts exhibit improved catalytic properties in the selective oxidation reaction, namely the ammoximation reaction. The origin of the beneficial effect of Zn is related via an array of spectroscopic and microscopic techniques to the modification of extra‐framework TiO2 and TiOx clusters and the ...

α‐Synuclein Forms Distinct Micelle‐Like Assemblies at Low Ionic Strengths

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
At high ionic strength, α‐synuclein forms diverse assemblies, including oligomers, fibrils, and condensates. Here, we show that at low ionic strength, α‐synuclein adopts a distinct, low‐abundance assembly state. These assemblies maintain a constant size above a critical concentration and do not coalesce, suggesting a micelle‐like organization ...

Key Drivers of Activity and Selectivity in Cu‐Based Catalysts for Methanol Synthesis From CO2: Insights From Atomically Dispersed Promoters

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Mechanistic studies on model Cu─M/SiO2 catalysts (M = Zn, Ga, and In) reveal that promoters enable a formate spillover pathway from Cu to Mn+ (n = 2 or 3) sites. The promoter's electronic effect on formate bond strengths serves as a quantitative descriptor for activity and selectivity, balancing spillover dynamics with intermediate stabilization to ...

A novel Erwiniaceae gut symbiont modulates gene expression of the intracellular bacterium Cardinium in the stored product mite Tyrophagus putrescentiae

open access: yesmSphere
We examined host and bacterial gene expression profiles in the stored product mite Tyrophagus putrescentiae co-infected with Wolbachia (wTPut) and Cardinium (cTPut) while varying the presence of the Erwiniaceae symbiont (SLS).

Shrinking lung syndrome in systemic lupus erythematosus-scleroderma overlap

open access: yesLung India, 2014
Shrinking lung syndrome (SLS) is a infrequently reported manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Reported prevalence of SLS is about 0.5% in SLE patients.

The Mitogen‐Activated Protein Kinase GhNTF3 Modulates the Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Symbiosis‐Immunity Trade‐Off in Cotton by Regulating Salicylic Acid Biosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AM symbiosis induces GhWAK13 to promote fungal colonization. GhNTF3 negatively regulates symbiosis by promoting SA biosynthesis. GhWAK13 sequesters GhNTF3 at the membrane, limiting its nuclear translocation and relieving SA‐mediated suppression. Under Verticillium stress, GhNTF3 enters the nucleus and interacts with GhJAZ6 to activate SA signaling ...

Predicting Catalyst Performance From Pt/CeO2 Redispersion Kinetics

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Unravelling kinetics of dynamic structural changes in catalysts is the key to predicting their catalytic properties. ETEM experiments reveal a continuous decrease in Pt particle size on cube‐shaped CeO2 under oxidizing conditions, changing from large nanoparticles to highly dispersed species.
