Experimental study and mechanism analysis on the effect of pumping agents on the compressive strength of paste slurries

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2016
Pumping agents can improve the fluidity of paste slurries. However, the effecting mechanism of pumping agents on the coagulability of paste slurries is not made clear.

Organic Matter Causes Chemical Pollutant Dissipation Along With Adsorption and Microbial Degradation

open access: yesFrontiers in Environmental Science, 2021
Views on the entry of organic pollutants into the organic matter (OM) decaying process are divergent, and in part poorly understood. To clarify these interactions, pesticide dissipation was monitored in organic and mineral soils not adapted to ...

Performance of a Centrifugal Slurry Pump with Clinker Slurry

open access: yesIndian Journal of Science and Technology, 2015
Background/Objectives: Slurry pumps are used to transport liquids that contain some solid content. The subject matter of this investigation is to find the effect of size of clinker and its concentration on the performance of slurry pump at different pump speeds.

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Reduction in Methane Emissions From Acidified Dairy Slurry Is Related to Inhibition of Methanosarcina Species

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2018
Liquid dairy manure treated with sulfuric acid was stored in duplicate pilot-scale storage tanks for 120 days with continuous monitoring of CH4 emissions and concurrent examination of changes in the structure of bacterial and methanogenic communities ...

Mapping erosion-corrosion of carbon steel in oil exploration conditions : some new approaches to characterizing mechanisms and synergies

open access: yes, 2010
Erosion by solid particles in oil/water slurries is a technologically important area. In such conditions, it is necessary to distinguish between the effects of the sand, aqueous environment, and the oil.

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Emission of odorous compounds from pig slurries

open access: yes, 1998
Techniques to identify odorous compounds and to determine their emission rates from liquid wastes are described. Odorous compounds, or odorants, were analysed by GC-MS and odour concentration was measured by olfactometry after being emitted from slurry ...
