Amyloidogenic Peptide Fragments Designed From Bacterial Collagen‐like Proteins Form Hydrogel
This study identified amyloidogenic sequence motifs in bacterial collagen‐like proteins and exploited these to design peptides that self‐assemble into β‐sheet fibers and form hydrogels. One hydrogel supported healthy fibroblast growth, showing promise for biocompatible materials. Our work demonstrates that bacterial sequences can be harnessed to create

Automated injection of slurry samples in flow-injection analysis [PDF]
Two types of injectors are described for introducing solid samples as slurries in flow analysis systems. A time-based and a volume-based injector based on multitube solenoid pinch valves were built, both can be characterized as hydrodynamic injectors ...

This work introduces a regionally localized electrolyte (RLE) that spatially separates ether‐ and carbonate‐based functions to stabilize both Li metal and high‐voltage cathodes. An immobilized ether‐rich layer directs Li+ transport, activates LiNO3 locally, and forms a uniform LiF‐rich SEI, enabling lower overpotential, uniform deposition, and long ...

Mortar and Paste Rheology: Concentration, Polydispersity and Air Entrapment at High Solid Fraction
Rheological characterisation of mortar is complicated by phenomena of slip, the formation of shear bands and depletion. At relatively low solid fractions a typical Couette geometry and a medium-size mixer-type rheometer were used to determine flow curves.

Adsorption-Hydration Sequence Method for Methane Storage in Porous Material Slurry
Porous materials are deemed to be capable for promoting hydrate formation, while for the purpose of hydrate-based gas storage, those systems containing porous materials often cannot meet the requirement of high storage density.

A tandem gas diffusion electrode (GDE) leveraging hierarchically engineered microgranules enables efficient CO2 electroreduction under dilute CO2 conditions. A key innovation lies in the solvent‐free precision assembly of metal–organic‐frameworks, carbon nanotubes, and copper nanoparticles.

We developed a novel copper‐doped aluminum nano‐adjuvant (CuNA) to overcome cytarabine resistance in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). CuNA effectively sensitizes drug‐resistant AML cells to cytarabine by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction and inhibiting HMGCR/GPX4 to amplify ferroptosis.

Effect of Soil Separation Technique with Integrated Catch Crops and Manure on Yield and Quality of Potatoes in Organic Farming [PDF]
The quality of potatoes in stony soils can be improved by the soil separation technique. If this technique is used in autumn in combination with integrated catch-crop growing and fertilization of stable manure or slurry a higher yield was observed, but ...
