Bioelectrochemical system stabilizes methane fermentation from garbage slurry
Bioresource Technology, 2010Methanogenic bioreactors, which are packed with supporting material, have attracted attention as an efficient means of degrading garbage. We aimed to increase bioreactor performance by using an electrochemical system to regulate the electrical potential on supporting material. At an organic loading rate of 26.9g dichromate chemical oxygen demand (CODcr)

Stability of slurry trenches near railway
2009In Almelo, the Netherlands, a construction of concrete floors and diaphragm walls is built to bring the present railway below surface. During construction the trains use a temporary railway track that is close to the building activities. For the construction of diaphragm walls trenches are made in the underground near the temporary railway line.
