High-Temperature Behavior, Oxygen Transport Properties, and Electrochemical Performance of Cu-Substituted Nd_1.6Ca_0.4NiO_4+δ Electrode Materials

In this study, Nd1.6Ca0.4Ni1−yCuyO4+δ-based electrode materials for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFCs) are investigated. Materials of the series (y = 0–0.4) are obtained by pyrolysis of glycerol-nitrate compositions.

Energetic stress in combination with impaired fatty acid oxidation induces sequestration of CoA and adaptation of CoA metabolism

Computational modelling and in vitro liver cell experiments indicate that medium‐chain acyl‐CoA dehydrogenase (MCAD) deficiency causes an accumulation of (especially medium‐chain) acyl‐CoAs at the cost of free CoA (CoASH). A substantial decrease in CoASH impairs flux through many pathways essential for energy homeostasis.

Peixe Zircon as a Quality Control Reference Material in U‐Pb Geochronology by LA‐ICP‐MS

Key Points Peixe#0 zircon was characterised for U‐Pb geochronology using CA‐ID‐TIMS, SIMS and a long‐term LA‐ICP‐MS data set. The consistent results establish Peixe#0 as a reference material for U‐Pb quality control. Trace element heterogeneity requires careful, CL‐guided spot selection.

A Common Reference Material for Mass‐Dependent Sn Isotope Compositions: An Inter‐Laboratory Calibration Approach

Key Points We recommend using the notation δ122/118SnNIST SRM 3161a for mass‐dependent Sn isotope data. We derived conversion factors relative to NIST SRM 3161a for Puri Sn CEZA (0.132 ± 0.011‰), Sn Lyon (0.229 ± 0.016‰), Sn IPGP (0.162 ± 0.018‰). Tin isotope compositions are presented for SPEX CertiPrep Sn and nine USGS reference materials.
