Estimation of Developmental Stability of Small-Leaved Lime on Reserved and Urbanized Territories
The developmental stability of small-leaved lime (Tina cordata Mill.) was estimated in populations on territories of the Kerzhenskii State Nature Reserve, Nizhni Novgorod District, and in an industrial region of Nizhni Novgorod. The developmental stability was estimated according to the fluctuating asymmetry of the leaf measurements.

Seasonal dynamics of damage to small-leaved lime trees by phyllophagous arthropods
The seasonal dynamics of damage to the small-leaved lime Tilia cordata by phyllophagous arthropods was monitored in Izhevsk in 1999–2002. The work was carried out in 15 test plots, 10 model trees being selected within each plot. From May 30 to September 10, damage to leaves was assessed every ten days in the same model branch selected from the lower ...

Dieback of small‐leaved lime trees (Tilia cordata Mill.) caused by Gibsiella quercinecans in urban areas in Poland [PDF]
AbstractIn the summer of 2023, small‐leaved lime trees (Tilia cordata) in the capital city of Warsaw were found to be dying along transport routes. The stem fragments collected for analysis showed the presence of necrosis near larval galleries caused by Agrilus viridis (L.).

The effects of urban conditions on tree growth have been investigated in an increasing number of studies over the last decades, emphasizing the harsh environment of cities. Urban trees often grow in highly paved, compacted sites with consequently less soil moisture, higher soil temperatures, and greater vapor pressure deficits.

Comparison of tree volume equations for small-leaved lime (Tilia cordataMill.) in the Czech Republic
Although the small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata Mill.) is a native tree in the Czech Republic, there are no volume tables, and its volume has so far been estimated according to beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) tables. In order to increase accuracy of timber volume calculations, the most appropriate volume equations should be selected to develop volume tables ...

Abstract Knowledge of the structure and morphology of common urban trees is scarce, particularly of the full life cycle of a tree. The present and future structural dimensions of urban tree species are of an increasing interest because tree growth is associated with its ecosystem services.

Linden flower is a wildly used plant material among patients in the treatment of common cold symptoms and mucosa inflammations. However, the structure and bioactivity of flavan-3-ol derivatives present in infusions from flowers of Tilia cordata have not been studied so far.

Bursaphelenchus tiliae sp. n. is described from the bark of dead branches of the small-leaved lime, Tilia cordata, infested with the lime bark beetle, Ernoporus tiliae. The nematode adults and propagative juveniles were present in larval galleries, while dispersal dauer juveniles colonised the Malpighian tubules of adult beetles. Bursaphelenchus tiliae

Abstract The aim of the study was to investigate the chemical variability of small-leaved lime ( Tilia cordata Mill.) growing wild in the eastern area of Poland, in terms of content and composition of phenolic compounds (phenolic acids and flavonoids), composition of essential oil and content of mucilage in flowers.
