CNC–PNIPAM Drug Delivery System Improves Endometrial Receptivity via Natural Killer Cell Immune Tolerance in Endometriosis

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2026.
An injectable CNC–PNIPAM hydrogel is developed for intrauterine co‐delivery of levonorgestrel and botropase. This platform reprograms uterine natural killer cells toward an immune–tolerant phenotype and enhances endometrial receptivity marker expression. The results demonstrate a promising strategy to counteract endometriosis–associated infertility and

The EUROmediCAT Network and Databases: A Resource for Pharmacovigilance in Pregnancy

open access: yesPharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety, Volume 35, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The evidence gap relating to the risk of congenital anomalies (CA) associated with first trimester medication exposure in pregnancy is well recognized. Aims We describe the EUROmediCAT network and databases, and the methodological approach to pregnancy pharmacovigilance.

Ship-bank interaction induced by irregular bank geometries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The forces and moments induced by the vicinity of banks on a sailing vessel are known as bank effects. An extensive set of model tests have been carried out in a towing tank to investigate bank effects inducedby irregular bank geometries.

Sexual Function, Activity and Distress 24 Months After Surgical Menopause: What Happens After Menopause (WHAM)—A Prospective Controlled Study

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, Volume 133, Issue 6, Page 1188-1199, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To determine the effect of surgical menopause (risk‐reducing salpingo‐oophorectomy, RRSO) on sexual function and the modifying effects of HRT. Design Prospective observational study of women undergoing RRSO and age‐matched comparison group who retained their ovaries. Setting High‐risk clinics and general population.

Impact of combined oral contraceptives and progestin‐only pills on psychological and sexual well‐being of women with endometriosis: A systematic review

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 5, Page 805-818, May 2026.
Hormonal treatments for endometriosis (combined oral contraceptives/progestin‐only pills) do not show increased psychological or sexual risks compared with placebo. When pain is effectively controlled, these therapies appear well tolerated and may improve overall well‐being.

From External Governance to Energy Diplomacy: The European Pursuit of Green Hydrogen

open access: yesJCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, Volume 64, Issue 3, Page 1135-1159, May 2026.
Abstract Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the European Union (EU) and its Member States are faced with the double imperative of ensuring energy security whilst reaching decarbonisation goals. A number of authors have suggested that we are observing a geopolitical Commission that is shifting to more active ‘energy diplomacy’, as opposed to its

Phase Fluctuations and Pseudogap Phenomena

open access: yes, 2000
This article reviews the current status of precursor superconducting phase fluctuations as a possible mechanism for pseudogap formation in high-temperature superconductors. In particular we compare this approach which relies on the two-dimensional nature

The Relationship Between Catalyst and Solvent in Hydrogenation via Condensed Phase Heterogeneous Catalysis

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
Heterogeneous catalysis has historically been developed in the gas phase, however, we have found it pertinent to highlight solvent effects that must be accounted for in liquid environments. Condensed phase catalysis, like that in biomass, petroleum and the conversion of CO2, stands to benefit from the typically overlooked discussion regarding the ...

Localization physics in graphene Moire superlattices

open access: yes, 2018
Non-trivial Berry phase of graphene leads to unusual quantum correction to the conductivity. Berry phase of pi in single layer graphene (SLG) and 2pi in bi-layer graphene (BLG) is expected to reveal weak anti-localization (WAL) and weak localization (WL),
