Small-Signal Stability Analysis
1997Ever since Hendrik Bode of Bell Laboratories conceived and scribbled down the concept of the feedback amplifier on a page of the New York Times while going to work in the mid-1930s, applications of feedback contol theory and techniques have been found in almost every conceivable field of study.

Robust small signal stability for microgrids under uncertainty
2015 IEEE 6th International Symposium on Power Electronics for Distributed Generation Systems (PEDG), 2015We describe an adapted robust control technique for analyzing microgrid stability under the uncertainty of renewable sources and loads. Two realistic case studies are presented to demonstrate the method's effectiveness as a tool for system design and analysis.

Fast small-signal stability assessment using parallel processing
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 1994Small-signal stability assessment of large power systems is presently obtained on sequential computers through the partial eigenanalysis of sparse matrices. This paper describes the implementation of a power system eigenanalysis computer code, of production level, into an advanced parallel processing machine. Eigenvalues are calculated by the lop-sided

A method for stability analysis of small‐signal microwave amplifiers
International Journal of RF and Microwave Computer‐Aided Engineering, 1998This paper presents a method for analyzing the stability of small-signal microwave amplifiers with any topology. This analysis is performed using the Nyquist criterion and allows detection of the so-called odd-mode instabilities. The method is easily applicable by using commercially available microwave CAD. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Small—Signal Stability Assessment of Iraqi National Grid
International Journal of Modelling and Simulation, 2008The Iraqi national grid has suffered from low frequency oscillations (LFOs) phenomena, which prevented the grid from being fully utilized. A multivariable, centralized controller based on pole-assignment algorithm was suggested to improve small-signal stability, using a single power plant (Hartha) as a control base.

Small-signal stability assessment based on transient events
199 IEEE Power Engineering Society Summer Meeting. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.99CH36364), 2003This paper illustrates the small-signal stability assessment of a large power system based on the identification of lightly damped modes present in transient stability simulations. The study approach is based on processing the simulation results of critical contingencies using a system identification algorithm.

Small Signal Stability of an Unregulated Power System
2007 Thirty-Ninth Southeastern Symposium on System Theory, 2007Small signal stability is the ability of the power system to maintain synchronism under small perturbations. Such perturbations occur continuously on the system because of the small variations in load and generation where the system continuously adjusts itself to changing conditions.
