A Design of Telemetry System for Small Animals

open access: yesJournal of Communications Software and Systems, 2021
The external unit of small telemetry system for animals uses inductive link to transmit both data and power to a small implant. In this work, firstly, we have presented a wideband frequency shift keying (FSK) transmitter, which is a class E power ...

Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Experimental Test of a New Equality: Measuring Heat Dissipation in an Optically Driven Colloidal System

open access: yes, 2007
Measurement of energy dissipation in small nonequilibrium systems is generally a difficult task. Recently, Harada and Sasa [Phys.Rev.Lett. 95, 130602(2005)] derived an equality relating the energy dissipation rate to experimentally accessible quantities ...

Is the decoherence of a system the result of its interaction with the environment? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
According to a usual reading, decoherence is a process resulting from the interaction between a small system and its large environment where information and energy are dissipated.

Evaluating the Utility of Paired Tumor and Germline Targeted DNA Sequencing for Pediatric Oncology Patients: A Single Institution Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL ENTERPRISES AND THE SPECIFICS OF ORGANIZATION OF ITS ACCOUNTING TAXATION

open access: yesВестник университета, 2019
The arguments, justifying the need to create a unified legislative framework, governing the accounting system of small enterprises, have been presented. The modern interpretations of the concept “small enterprise” have been considered.

Physical Properties of the Asteroid Belts from Brightness-limited Surveys

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal, 2023
We introduce a general debiasing Bayesian formalism to brightness-limited surveys of solar system objects that constrains the statistical distribution of a population’s physical characteristics such as size, albedo, heliocentric distance, or others to ...

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...
