FDM-RTDETR: A Multi-Scale Small Target Detection Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access
To address challenges in uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAV) object detection including complex backgrounds, severe occlusion, dense small objects, and varying lighting conditions, we propose FDM-DETR, a novel detection algorithm specifically designed for ...

Fast and Robust Small Infrared Target Detection Using Absolute Directional Mean Difference Algorithm

open access: yes, 2020
Infrared small target detection in an infrared search and track (IRST) system is a challenging task. This situation becomes more complicated when high gray-intensity structural backgrounds appear in the field of view (FoV) of the infrared seeker.

Dark photon searches with atomic transitions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Dark matter could be made up of dark photons, massive but very light particles whose interactions with matter resemble those of usual photons but suppressed by a small mixing parameter.

Prolonged Corrected QT Interval as an Early Electrocardiographic Marker of Cyclophosphamide‐Induced Cardiotoxicity in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Patients

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cyclophosphamide (CY) is associated with potentially fatal cardiotoxicity, yet no electrocardiographic indices have been established for early detection of CY‐induced cardiomyopathy. This study aimed to determine whether corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation can predict early onset of CY‐related cardiac dysfunction in pediatric ...

Infrared Small Target Detection via Modified Random Walks

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2018
Infrared small target detection under intricate background and heavy noise is one of the crucial tasks in the field of remote sensing. Conventional algorithms can fail in detecting small targets due to the low signal-to-noise ratios of the images.

MGAF‐net: Gaussian saliency features guided infrared small target detection network

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2023
Robust infrared dim small target detection under sparse features is a difficult problem in the field of small target detection. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, this paper proposes an infrared dim small target detection network based on multi ...

Improved Outcomes for Older Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults With Neuroblastoma in the Post‐Immunotherapy Era: An Updated Report From the International Neuroblastoma Risk Group

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background We describe clinical and biologic characteristics of neuroblastoma in older children, adolescents, and young adults (OCAYA); describe survival outcomes in the post‐immunotherapy era; and identify if there is an age cut‐off that best discriminates outcomes.

Patient‐Level Barriers and Facilitators to Inpatient Physical Therapy in Adolescents and Young Adults With a Hematological Malignancy: A Qualitative Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Despite their increased risk for functional impairment resulting from cancer and its treatments, few adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with a hematological malignancy receive the recommended or therapeutic dose of exercise per week during inpatient hospitalizations.

Facet-based infrared small target detection method

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2005
The cubic facet model is applied to fit the underlying intensity surface in infrared small target detective procedure. Using the partial derivatives of the fitted surface to make decisions regarding the maximum extremum points is proposed. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is efficient and robust.
