The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Going to Where No One Went Before: Endoscopic Procedures of the Small Bowel [PDF]
__Abstract__ Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures of the small-bowel have for a long time been a great challenge to gastroenterologists. Especially the anatomy of the small intestine in combination with the lack of adequate, non-invasive ...

Microultraound and small bowel inflammation:Tissue phantom studies [PDF]
Capsule endoscopy represents a highly convenient but limited means of imaging inflammatory conditions of the small bowel. The inclusion of high frequency microultrasound into a capsule endoscope has the potential to enhance diagnostic capabilities with ...

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Interactions between species introduce spurious associations in microbiome studies
Microbiota contribute to many dimensions of host phenotype, including disease. To link specific microbes to specific phenotypes, microbiome-wide association studies compare microbial abundances between two groups of samples.

Age‐Related Characteristics of SYT1‐Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorder
ABSTRACT Objectives We describe the clinical manifestations and developmental abilities of individuals with SYT1‐associated neurodevelopmental disorder (Baker‐Gordon syndrome) from infancy to adulthood. We further describe the neuroradiological and electrophysiological characteristics of the condition at different ages, and explore the associations ...
