Direct Imaging of Correlated Defect Nanodomains in a Metal-Organic Framework
Defect engineering can enhance key properties of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). Tailoring the distribution of defects, for example in correlated nanodomains, requires characterization across length scales. However, a critical nanoscale characterization

The effect of quenching and defects size on the HCF behaviour of Boron steel [PDF]
This work investigates the effect of natural and artificial surface defects and quenching on the fatigue strength of a Boron steel (22MnB5). A vast experimental campaign has been undertaken to study the high cycle fatigue behaviour and more specifically ...

Research on Surface Defect Detection of Camera Module Lens Based on YOLOv5s-Small-Target
For the problem of low resolution of camera module lens surface defect image, small target and blurred defect details leading to low detection accuracy, a camera module lens surface defect detection algorithm YOLOv5s-Defect based on improved YOLOv5s is ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Optimizing Insulator Defect Detection with Improved DETR Models
With the increasing demand for electricity, the power grid is undergoing significant advancements. Insulators, which serve as protective devices for transmission lines in outdoor high-altitude power systems, are widely employed. However, the detection of

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Congenital Mesenteric Defect with Transmesenteric Hernia in Children: A Case Series
Transmesentric hernias are a type of internal hernia, in which there is herniation of bowel loops through a defect in the mesentery. They present with a wide variety of symptoms without any specific radiological features, leading to a delay in diagnosis ...
