The parameters of a linear code \(C\) over \(GF(q)\) are given by \([n,k,d]\), where \(n\) denotes the length, \(k\) the dimension and \(d\) the minimum distance of \(C\). The code \(C\) is called MDS, or maximum distance separable, if the minimum distance \(d\) meets the Singleton bound, i.e. \(d=n -k+1\).

Small Cartilage Defect Management
The Journal of Knee Surgery, 2020AbstractCartilage defects in the knee are common resulting in significant pain and morbidity over time. These defects can arise in isolation or concurrently with other associated injuries to the knee. The treatment of small (< 2–3 cm2) cartilage deficiencies has changed as our basic science knowledge of tissue healing has improved. Advancements have

The nose occupies an important feature of a person's central face. The size, shape, and proportions of the various characteristics of the face provide a visual basis suggesting the character of the person. Scars, asymmetries, and any abnormalities of the central face are easily recognizable and noted by even a casual observer.

In this paper, we present a method to compute rapidly the solution of the Navier equation in domains with small inclusions close to each other. The main feature of our method is the use of a coarse description of the geometry. The computation relies on asymptotic expansion and computation of profiles, which are solution of a problem posed in unbounded ...

Small Toe Muscles for Defect Coverage
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1990Defects on the sole of the foot are always a major problem. Frequently, these patients suffer from other diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, chronic vascular diseases, or skeletal deformities. Usually, these are full-thickness defects and the bone is exposed.
