Small Parameters in Interactions
1991Let S be a complete separable metric space and μa probability measure on S p that is the product of probability measures v t on S (in general, different for distinct t write 〈·〉0 = 〈·〉μ.

Small Parameter Methods: Basic Ideas
2014We introduce basic ideas of asymptotic analysis and present a number of models which describe complex processes, the components of which occur at significantly different rates. Such models in a natural way contain a small parameter which is the ratio of the slow and the fast rates, thus lending themselves to asymptotic analysis.

Small-signal parameters for transistors
Electrical Engineering, 1954The commonly used sets of parameters are discussed briefly and it is shown how the performance of the transistor can be determined with equal facility from any of the sets that may be provided.

Equivalent-Small-Parameters Method (ESPM)
2018The principle of harmonic balance [1] is a basic principle that is universally applicable in nonlinear systems. The singular perturbation method is a commonly used approximation method for analyzing nonlinear systems. However, the perturbation method has long-term items in the process of solving nonlinear systems, that is, items that grow indefinitely ...

Small signal parameter of LLC converter
2017 IEEE 12th International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems (PEDS), 2017This paper presents the influence of circuit parameters on the small signal characteristics of the control to output transfer function of the LLC current resonant converter. The equivalent source model is employed for the analysis. To derive the dc gain and the internal resistance, circuit simulator is used.

Small parasitic parameters and chemical oscillations
Faraday Symposia of the Chemical Society, 1974In treating chemical oscillators, it is common practice to use no more than two concentrations as dependent variables due to the mathematical difficulties with more than two. Other variables, necessarily involved to make the system nontrivial—the “pool” chemicals—are treated as parameters which are independent of time.

Parameters of photomultipliers with small photocathodes
Journal of Applied Spectroscopy, 1967A description is given of FEU-64 tubes, cathode area 0.2 cm2, for Sb-Cs and multialkali cathodes. The latter can measure fluxes of 2 × 10−15 W in the range 4000–6000 a with a signal-to-noise ratio of 10 in a passband of 1 Hz.

Reflection Function and the Small Parameter Method
Differential Equations, 2004The paper deals with periodic solutions of multi-dimensional differential systems. By combining symmetry properties expressed by the notion of reflection function with the small parameter method, sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solutions are derived.

Numerical small parameter method for stiff ODE:s
BIT, 1983A numerical method for stiff ODE:s is proposed in this paper. The Jacobian matrix is not needed. The results of 30 examples are presented.

Dimensional analysis and small parameters
1997Scientific disciplines deal with quantities that are by nature qualitatively different and that are measured with the help of numbers.
