Small Quantum Structures with Small State Spaces
International Journal of Theoretical Physics, 2007The author summarizes and extends results about ``small'' quantum structures with small dimensions of the state space. He bears in mind not only Hilbert and orthomodular lattices, but also orthomodular posets and effect algebras. In order to distinguish between the cases when the single state on a quantum structure has only values \(0\) and \(1\), and ...

Chapter 5 focuses on case studies of small states’ pursuit of their goals in the realm of international security. Small states have long been understood to be particularly limited—even existentially threatened—in the security sphere. This chapter’s cases suggest significant variation in security outcomes for small states.

Small Bowel in Hypoproteinemic States
Scandinavian Journal of Gastroenterology, 1968In order to study the effects of protein deficiency on functional and structural derangements of small intestine, 18 cases of primary malnutrition, 10 cases of cirrhosis of the liver, 17 cases of nephrotic syndrome and 20 normal control subjects were investigated.Total serum proteins were less than 6 g% in all patients, or significantly lower than ...
