A small and secure submission system for UNIX systems

Proceedings of the 43rd annual Southeast regional conference - Volume 1, 2005
Often the only choices available for submitting assignments are paper, diskette, or e-mail. Yet each of these media has major shortcomings. This paper delineates these shortcomings, reviews previous attempts at creating useful assignment submission systems, and describes a new submission system, named turnin.

Financial modeling on small systems

IBM Systems Journal, 1973
The implementationo of financial models on small systems is discussed. Presented are methods for card systems and direct access (FORTRAN and non-FORTRAN) systems. Financial plans are produced, similar to those generated by larger-system methods.

Small systems, big challenges: review of small drinking water system governance

Environmental Reviews, 2018
Small drinking water systems (SDWS) are widely identified as presenting particular challenges for drinking water management and governance in industrialised nations because of their small customer base, geographic isolation, and limited human and financial capacity.

The Electrical Capacitance of Small Systems

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2000
The electrical capacitance of several small systems is determined by using results given by the fluctuation-dissipation theorem in the classical limit. Estimating the electrical capacitance is important because it is the link to knowledge of the fluctuation of several physical quantities, voltage and field fluctuations, dipole moment, pH, and charge ...

NORMALIZATION IN THE SYSTEMS WITH SMALL DIFFUSION

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 1996
In this paper the local dynamics of systems of nonlinear PDEs with small diffusion is studied. The main feature of these systems lies in the fact that the dimension of a critical case in the stability problem for an equilibrium state is equal to infinity.

On Exponentially Small Effects in Dynamical Systems with a Small Parameter

Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2005
The author proves a theorem which makes it possible to treat different exponentially small effects in dynamics from a unified point of view. As an example, the problem of in fast averaging in multi-frequency systems with a slow variable belonging to a Banach space is discussed.
