Smart and Practical Privacy-Preserving Data Aggregation for Fog-Based Smart Grids
IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, 2021With the increasingly powerful and extensive deployment of edge devices, edge/fog computing enables customers to manage and analyze data locally, and extends computing power and data analysis applications to network edges. Meanwhile, as the next generation of the power grid, the smart grid can achieve the goal of efficiency, economy, security ...

Privacy-Friendly Aggregation for the Smart-Grid
2011The widespread deployment of smart meters for the modernisation of the electricity distribution network, but also for gas and water consumption, has been associated with privacy concerns due to the potentially large number of measurements that reflect the consumers behaviour.

Preserving data integrity for smart grid data aggregation
2012 IEEE Third International Conference on Smart Grid Communications (SmartGridComm), 2012In smart grid systems, secure in-network data aggregation approaches have been introduced to efficiently collect aggregation data, while preserving data privacy of individual meters. Nevertheless, it is also important to maintain the integrity of aggregate data in the presence of accidental errors and internal/external attacks.

Aggregation Points Planning in Smart Grid Communication System
IEEE Communications Letters, 2015Aggregation Point (AP) in neighborhood area network (NAN) plays a key role on smart grid communication. The AP stores and forwards data stream between home area network (HAN) and wide area network (WAN) in the smart grid. In this letter, we study how to plan the APs in the smart grid to minimize the total deployment cost of the opening APs and the ...

Secure and Scalable Aggregation in the Smart Grid
2014 6th International Conference on New Technologies, Mobility and Security (NTMS), 2014In this work, we describe two decentralized protocols that can be used to securely aggregate the electricity measurements made by n smart meters. The first protocol is a very lightweight one, it uses only symmetric cryptographic primitives and provides security against honest-but-curious adversaries.
