Design of High‐Energy Anode for All‐Solid‐State Lithium Batteries–A Model with Borohydride‐Based Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study proposes a function‐sharing anode design to enable nonmetallic lithium insertion while maintaining intimate interfacial contact with the solid‐state electrolyte. A combination of lithium‐compatible and conformable borohydrides, highly conformable indium metal, less‐graphitized acetylene black, and a layer of highly graphitized massive ...

Interfacial Electronic Restructuring in MAPbBr3/rGO Hybrids Enabling Improved Charge Extraction for Efficient Photodetection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
MAPbBr3/rGO hybrids exhibit interfacial electronic restructuring that enhances charge extraction in photodetectors. The incorporation of rGO modifies the surface chemical environment, enhances electron‐dominated transport, and suppresses performance degradation, resulting in higher responsivity, detectivity, and photostability than in pristine MAPbBr3 ...

Emotional Smart Materials

2009
To build affective and emotional interaction, we pay attention to materials of interface. We introduce two non-emissive displays as examples showing our concept. Fabcell is a fabric pixel that changes its color with non-emissive manner. Matrix arrangement of Fabcell enables information display with fabric texture.

Closed cellular materials for smart materials

SPIE Proceedings, 2008
New methods to fabricate a metallic closed cellular material for smart materials using an isostatic pressing and penetrating method are introduced. Powder particles of polymer or ceramics coated with a metal layer using electro-less plating were pressed into pellets and sintered at high temperature.
