Real time detection of 3-nitrotyrosine using smartphone-based electrochemiluminescence
Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 2021As an oxidase stress biomarker, 3-nitrotyrosine is closely associated with many cardiovascular diseases. Thus, early diagnosis and real time detection of 3-nitrotyrosine at bedside are highly important. Herein, we developed a handheld electrochemiluminescence (ECL) analysis device, which integrates printed circuit board (PCB) for electrical stimulation

3-D Localization for Smartphones using a Single Speaker
2019 International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation (IPIN), 2019In this paper, we describe a novel 3-D positioning method for a smartphone using only one external speaker. To obtain the smartphone’s 3-D position using this speaker, we apply the concept of a mirror-image speaker. For a mirror-image speaker, the primary reflected signals from the wall or floor are captured as signals transmitted from a "virtual ...

A low-cost 3-D printed stethoscope connected to a smartphone
2016 38th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC), 2016We demonstrate the fabrication of a digital stethoscope using a 3D printer and commercial off-the-shelf electronics. A chestpiece consists of an electret microphone embedded into the drum of a 3D printed chestpiece. An electronic dongle amplifies the signal from the microphone and reduces any external noise.
