Offline Pulse Distribution Strategies for SWISS Rectifier Using Improved PDM at High Switching Frequencies

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper proposes an improved offline pulse density modulation strategy for the SWISS rectifier to achieve low input current distortion and high power factor at high switching frequencies. Experimental results at 38.4 kHz reduce THDi from over 30% to ≈10%, while high‐frequency simulations at 172.8 kHz achieve THDi of 3.3% and PF = 0.9954.

Whole‐Genome Data to Investigate Recent and Historical Dog Introgression Patterns in Italian Wolves

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 12, December 2025.
We analyzed whole‐genome data from Italian wolves and dogs to assess the extent, timing, and functional relevance of dog introgression in the Italian wolf. Five wolves showed recent admixture within the last 3–7 generations, while historical introgressions under selection dated to the Bronze and Middle Ages involved genes linked to neuronal plasticity,

Identification of a functional antioxidant response element at the HIF1A locus

open access: yesRedox Biology, 2018
Reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are a byproduct of oxidative metabolism, serve as signaling molecules in a number of physiological settings. However, if their levels are not tightly maintained, excess ROS lead to potentially cytotoxic oxidative ...
