We point out that, although SMEFT is constructed to be model-independent, this holds only if complete sets of operators are used. SMEFT analyses that focus on subsets of operators are only semi-model-independent. They probe classes of ultraviolet models, opening a window to the underlying new physics.

Future DUNE constraints on EFT
In the near future, fundamental interactions at high-energy scales may be most efficiently studied via precision measurements at low energies. A universal language to assemble and interpret precision measurements is the so-called SMEFT, which is an ...

Standard Model Effective Field Theory: Integrating out Neutralinos and Charginos in the MSSM
We apply the covariant derivative expansion method to integrate out the neutralinos and charginos in the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model. The results are presented as set of pure bosonic dimension-6 operators in the Standard Model effective field ...

We present a new way to interpret Top Standard Model measurements going beyond the SMEFT framework. Instead of the usual paradigm in Top EFT, where the main effects come from tails in momenta distributions, we propose an interpretation in terms of new ...

Universal Imprints of a Pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone Higgs Boson
A large class of models addressing the electroweak naturalness problem postulates the existence of new spontaneously broken global symmetries above the weak scale.

Energy-enhanced dimension eight SMEFT effects in VBF Higgs production
We study Higgs boson production via vector boson fusion at the LHC, focusing on the process pp → H + jj and capturing the leading energy-enhanced contributions within the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) up to order 1/Λ4.

Walls, bubbles and doom — the cosmology of HEFT
As experiment charts new territory at the electroweak scale, the enterprise to characterise all possible theories becomes all the more necessary. In the absence of new particles, this ambitious enterprise is attainable and has led to the Higgs Effective ...

Triboson production in the SMEFT
Abstract We study the production of three electroweak gauge bosons at the LHC, in the effective field theory of the standard model, at dimension six and next-to-leading order in QCD. We present results for inclusive cross-sections and differential distributions, finding that these QCD corrections are large, often vary across the ...

RGE effects on new physics searches via gravitational waves
Gravitational wave (GW) observations offer a promising probe of new physics associated with a first-order electroweak phase transition. Precision studies of the Higgs potential, including Fisher matrix analyses, have been extensively conducted in this ...
