MERMAID: an open source automated hit-to-lead method based on deep reinforcement learning
The hit-to-lead process makes the physicochemical properties of the hit molecules that show the desired type of activity obtained in the screening assay more drug-like. Deep learning-based molecular generative models are expected to contribute to the hit-

An ultrabroadband THz microlens with high resolution is presented and fabricated via commercially available 3D printing by transforming the phase profile into a thickness profile. The proposed method enables high‐fidelity THz hyperspectral imaging with high spatial and spectral resolution, representing a cost‐effective and reliable solution.

Auditory smiles trigger unconscious facial imitation [PDF]
Smiles, produced by the bilateral contraction of the zygomatic major muscles, are one of the most powerful expressions of positive affect and affiliation and also one of the earliest to develop [1]. The perception-action loop responsible for the fast and

Are you friendly or just polite? - analysis of smiles in spontaneous face-to-face interactions [PDF]
This work is part of a research effort to understand and characterize the morphological and dynamic features of polite and amused smiles. We analyzed a dataset consisting of young adults (n=61), interested in learning about banking services, who met with

This review highlights recent advances in accelerating luminescence in nanostructures through cooperative emission, resonator coupling, and nonlocal light–matter interactions. By unifying concepts such as excitonic superradiance, superfluorescence, and the plasmonic Purcell effect, it reveals physical limits of ultrafast emission and their potential ...

Proper selection of a modified guanidinato ligand allows for the selective catalytic dehydroborylation of terminal alkynes by an air‐stable aluminum complex. A plausible reaction pathway is suggested based on DFT studies, where the auxiliary substituent of the guanidinato ligand actively participates in the activation of the σ CH bond.
