The Impact of Private Equity Hospital Acquisitions on Maternal Health for Medicaid Patients
ABSTRACTObjectiveTo examine the impact of private equity (PE) hospital acquisitions on maternal health for Medicaid patients.Study Setting and DesignThis quasi‐experimental study focuses on 66 PE acquisitions of hospitals between 2014 and 2018, analyzing national Medicaid claims data from 2011 to 2020. Using a difference‐in‐differences (DiD) framework,

This systematic review and meta‐analysis identifies blood‐based biomarkers (BBMs) reported in sarcopenia trials, investigating the impact of sarcopenia interventions on BBMs concentrations. Significant heterogeneity was observed in sarcopenia outcomes. Interventions had a limited impact on BBMs, except for IGF‐1, which was significantly impacted by the

Abstract Background and aims Craving is a central construct across different kinds of addictive disorders, but craving assessments are highly heterogeneous. Our aim was to develop a valid, standardized and short scale for assessing subjective feelings of acute craving for different substances and addictive behaviors using the same set of items.

The association between different aspects of socioeconomic deprivation and severe maternal morbidity
Socioeconomic disadvantage is associated with severe maternal morbidity (SMM), and the gap appears to be widening. Sepsis, embolism, and cardiac events are key conditions driving the association. However, more precise measures of disadvantage are needed to understand the causal pathways to SMM. Abstract Introduction Living in a deprived neighborhood is

Abstract Treatment with GLP‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1 RAs) is effective in reducing body weight in individuals with overweight and type 2 diabetes (T2D). However, measurements indicate that a considerable portion of the weight loss derives from fat‐free mass (FFM), including skeletal muscle, which may compromise metabolic health and physical function.

Leveraging 3d‐4f Coordination: Molecular Quantum Spring‐Magnet Behavior in Axial Ni2Ln Complexes
We report heterotrimetallic Ni2Ln complexes mimicking exchange spring magnets at the molecular level. CASSCF calculations show collinear anisotropy axes, while µSQUID studies reveal slow relaxation and open hysteresis in Ni2Tb, Ni2Dy, and Ni2Ho. Ferromagnetic 3d–4f coupling and anisotropy alignment enhance bistability, offering promise for quantum, and
