Flexible ionic pressure sensors: From migration‐electronic mechanisms to emerging iontronic paradigms

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
Mechanisms, materials, structures, and applications of the FIPSs. Abstract Flexible ionic pressure sensors (FIPS) have emerged as promising candidates for bridging the gap between electronics and biologically compatible interfaces. Unlike previous reviews, which focused primarily on materials or devices, this review presents a classification of FIPS ...

Achieving superior therapeutic effects on methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection via simple sulfonation process for preparing zwitterionic photosensitizer

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
The sulfonated zwitterionic photosensitizer (PYSO3) is synthesized by reacting maleic anhydride derivatives with 4‐aminopyridine to form PY, followed by sulfonation with 1,4‐butane sultone. It exhibits both photothermal and photodynamic properties, enabling effective eradication of MRSA and biofilms, as well as promoting wound healing in mice ...

Nanostructured lipid carriers and natural deep eutectic solvents: a highly advantageous combination for the encapsulation of curcumin

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Curcumin is a naturally derived polyphenol known for its potent biological properties. Its therapeutic potential, however, is hindered by low bioavailability. Nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) have emerged as advanced delivery systems to overcome such limitations. Natural deep eutectic solvents (NADESs) have garnered attention as

Mechanisms of Laser Ablation in Liquids and Their Impact on the Efficiency of Nanoparticle Generation

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Laser ablation in liquid enables nanoparticle synthesis from diverse materials but remains less energy‐efficient than ablation in air. This study quantifies the absorption‐corrected ablation efficiency and experimentally confirms redeposition as the key loss mechanism using pump‐probe microscopy.

Development of an Insulin‐Permeable Hydrogel Membrane Based on Photocrosslinkable Poly(2‐Alkyl‐2‐Oxazoline)s

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐based composite membranes from photocrosslinkable poly(2‐alkyl‐2‐oxazoline) layers on PET meshes are presented as an insulin‐permeable barrier in delivery platforms for potential use in wound treatment. The membrane design addresses the challenge of maintaining protein structural integrity during topical delivery through polymeric hydrogel ...

In Situ Synthesized Glycerol‐Releasing Nanocarriers Unlock Superlubricity in Oil‐Based Lubricants

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study presents an in situ synthesis of glycerol‐based nanocarriers in hydrophobic lubricant oils via inverse miniemulsion polymerization. Encapsulating glycerol within a glycerol‐based polyurethane shell resolves miscibility issues between glycerol and the hydrophobic base oil, yielding novel nanoadditives with tunable glycerol loading.
