Oppositely charged single enzyme nanogels (SENs) phase‐separate into bi‐enzymatic coacervate microdroplets, acting as both scaffold and functional units. By tuning SEN ratios, these coacervates create specific microenvironments that enable selective small‐molecule enrichment and efficient intermediate diffusion.

Incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics-moving IRBFN method for viscous flow problems [PDF]
We propose a novel numerical approach based on incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics and moving integrated radial basis function networks method, namely ISPH-MIRBFN, for solving incompressible viscous flow problems.

Neutron Reflectometry and Compression of Graded Hydrogel Surfaces
Highly‐entangled and covalently‐crosslinked hydrogels with thin and thick surface gel layers are compressed in neutron reflectometry experiments. Surface gel layer thickness dictates the extent to which the polymer network at the surface of a hydrogel collapses, while crosslinking chemistry, and therefore elastic modulus, impacts the pressure at which ...

Balancing resolution and response in computational steering with simulation trails [PDF]
Computational steering provides many opportunities to gain additional insight into a numerical simulation, for example by facilitating what-if experimentation, detection of unstable situations and termination of uninteresting runs.

Smoothed particle hydrodynamics for coarse-grained modeling of rapid granular flow [PDF]
We simulated rapid flow in transient plane Couette flows of granular particles using the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) solutions of a set of continuum equations.

This article presents dielectric elastomer switch (DES) materials, based on composite thin films. Alignment of graphite flakes due to their physical confinement within the thin films lead to much stronger piezoresistive responses than bulk composites, while their durability exceeds that of conventional liquid‐based DES materials.
