Disrupting With the Land: Integrating Land‐Based Experiences in the Disrupting Interview
ABSTRACT In this chapter, the author describes the design and implementation of a Disrupting interview process that emphasized land‐based practices as a means to disrupt both participants and the Disrupting framework itself. The chapter argues that by centering the land as an important element in Disrupting the Disciplines, practitioners can gain new ...

Characteristic Matrices and Trellis Reduction for Tail-Biting Convolutional Codes [PDF]
Basic properties of a characteristic matrix for a tail-biting convolutional code are investigated. A tail-biting convolutional code can be regarded as a linear block code. Since the corresponding scalar generator matrix Gt has a kind of cyclic structure, an associated characteristic matrix also has a cyclic structure, from which basic properties of a ...

Approximate Linear Time ML Decoding on Tail-Biting Trellises in Two Rounds [PDF]
A linear time approximate maximum likelihood decoding algorithm on tail-biting trellises is prsented, that requires exactly two rounds on the trellis. This is an adaptation of an algorithm proposed earlier with the advantage that it reduces the time complexity from O(mlogm) to O(m) where m is the number of nodes in the tail-biting trellis.

Clinical profile and outcomes of snake bite poisoning in a tertiary care centre in South Tamilnadu [PDF]
Background: Snake-bites are well-known common medical emergencies in many parts of the world. In India 46,000 people are dying every year from snakebites. However, the true scale of mortality and morbidity from snake-bite remains uncertain.

We use Bothrops jararacussu as a model to introduce three different prey items (mice, exotic anuran – bullfrog and native anurans) in captivity. Our experiments indicated that native anurans could be an interesting food alternative to B. jararacussu and other Bothrops species with an ontogenetic diet in captivity.
