Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...

Benefits of a snap-joint system in an immediate full-arch maxillary fixed rehabilitation on disparallel implants [PDF]
Immediate implant-supported rehabilitation of atrophic maxillae with a fixed screw-retained prosthesis has to deal with the fixtures’ disparallelism and a high risk of fracture of the fixture-abutment connecting screw. After the flapless placement of six

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
