Plant species richness was greater in summer in both alpine and subalpine grassland ecosystems. Soil moisture demonstrates significant positive correlations with soil organic carbon and total nitrogen across seasonal periods. Microbial α‐diversity peaks during summer but maintains functional stability across seasons.

Relationship between Density of Newly Fallen Snow and Form of Snow Crystals [PDF]
IT has been suggested1 that there should be a relationship between the density of a snowfall and the shape and size of the predominant snow crystal form which makes up the snowfall.

Integrated macroscopic, histological, and ultrastructural analyses revealed five distinct lingual papillae types (filiform, fungiform, conical, foliate, and vallate) in the Anatolian wild boar (Sus scrofa libycus). Mechanical papillae showed marked structural specialization, while gustatory papillae exhibited region‐specific distribution of taste buds.

High resolution spatial variability in spring snowmelt for an Arctic shrub-tundra watershed [PDF]
Arctic tundra environments are characterized by spatially heterogeneous end-of-winter snow cover because of high winds that erode, transport and deposit snow over the winter.

What Do Latest CMIP6 Global Climate Models Say About Future Arctic Sea Ice Coverage Changes?
Modelling of sea ice dynamics has significantly improved between CMIP5 and CMIP6, with nearly three times as many models capturing realistic annual variability in sea ice extent (SIE). What we previously thought was a non‐linear pattern of low SIE observations in 2007–2010 that would continue throughout time now appears to be non‐record‐setting lows in
