Symbolic Interaction, EarlyView.In the aftermath of the 2020 U.S. election, the boundary between activism and extremism blurred, with election officials reporting violent threats and false accusations of election fraud. Weather, EarlyView.In summer 2023 in southern England, several unusual balloon launches were observed which descended for a few minutes before resuming ascent. This unusual vertical oscillation was repeated several times in a ‘roller‐coaster’‐like pattern. This article discusses the behaviour of the balloons.
