SNPP VIIRS RSB earth view reflectance uncertainty [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017
The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (SNPP) satellite uses its 14 reflective solar bands to passively collect solar radiant energy reflected off the Earth. The Level 1 product is the geolocated and radiometrically calibrated top-of-the-atmosphere solar reflectance.

Trending of SNPP ephemeris and its implications on VIIRS geometric performance [PDF]

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2016
This paper describes trends in the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (SNPP) spacecraft ephemeris data over the four and half years of on-orbit operations. It then discusses the implications of these trends on the geometric performance of the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS), one of the instruments onboard SNPP.

Evaluation of Total Precipitable Water Trends From Reprocessed MiRS SNPP ATMS Observations, 2012–2021

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Total precipitable water (TPW) is defined as the vertically integrated column water vapor from the earth's surface to the top of the atmosphere. TPW is a key element of the hydrological cycle and is responsive to changes in global climate related ...

Integrated Bioinformatics Analyses of PIN1, CKX, and Yield-Related Genes Reveals the Molecular Mechanisms for the Difference of Seed Number Per Pod Between Soybean and Cowpea

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2021
There is limited advancement on seed number per pod (SNPP) in soybean breeding, resulting in low yield in China. To address this issue, we identified PIN1 and CKX gene families that regulate SNPP in Arabidopsis, analyzed the differences of auxin and ...

ConvCGP: A convolutional neural network to predict genetic values of agronomic traits from compressed genome-wide polymorphisms. [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Genome
Abstract The growing size of genome‐wide polymorphism data in animal and plant breeding has raised concerns regarding computational load and time, particularly when predicting genetic values for target traits using genomic prediction. Several deep learning and conventional methods, including dimensionality reduction techniques such as principal ...
