Modeling SNR G1.9+0.3 as a Supernova Inside a Planetary Nebula [PDF]
Using 3D numerical hydrodynamical simulations we show that a type Ia supernova (SN Ia) explosion inside a planetary nebula (PN) can explain the observed shape of the G1.9+0.3 supernova remnant (SNR) and its X-ray morphology.

The Rate of Type Ia Supernovae at High Redshift
We derive the rates of Type Ia supernovae (SNIa) over a wide range of redshifts using a complete sample from the IfA Deep Survey. This sample of more than 100 SNIa is the largest set ever collected from a single survey, and therefore uniquely powerful ...

Black hole quasinormal mode spectroscopy with LISA [PDF]
The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for black hole quasinormal mode sources of low-frequency gravitational waves is estimated using a Monte Carlo approach that replaces the all-sky average approximation. We consider an eleven dimensional parameter space that

Adaptive Modulation and Coding Using Neural Network Based SNR Estimation
In this paper, we propose a novel Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) scheme enabled by Artificial Neural Network (ANN) aided Signal-to-Noise power Ratio (SNR) estimation. The Power Spectral Density (PSD) values are trained for SNR classification and it

Constructive summation of the (2,2) quasi normal mode from a population of black holes [PDF]
The quasi normal modes (QNMs) associated with gravitational-wave signals from binary black hole (BBH) mergers can provide deep insight into the remnant's properties.
