Venus volcanism: Rate estimates from laboratory studies of sulfur gas-solid reactions [PDF]
Thermochemical reactions between sulfur-bearing gases in the atmosphere of Venus and calcium-, iron-, magnesium-, and sulfur-bearing minerals on the surface of Venus are an integral part of a hypothesized cycle of thermochemical and photochemical ...

The Effect of Sintering Flue Gas Composition on NO Reduction in Coke
ABSTRACT The strategy of substituting combustion air with sintering flue gas in circulating fluidized bed (CFB) systems provides a low‐cost and highly efficient approach for the purification of sintering off‐gas. In this work, coke was employed as the reducing agent, and a high‐temperature vertical tube furnace was used to simulate the dense‐phase ...

Photodesorption of SO2 and SO from UV-irradiated SO2 ices
ABSTRACT The detection of high gas-phase abundances of Sulfur dioxide (SO$_2$) and sulfur monoxide (SO) in the cold envelope of an intermediate mass protostar suggests that these molecules might form on icy dust grains and subsequently desorb to the gas phase by non-thermal desorption processes such as photodesorption.

Selective Sequestration of Toxic NOx Gases by P‐Doped Graphene: A Density Functional Theory Study
P‐doped graphene (P‐grap) is explored as an NOx sensor through DFT simulations. The analysis of its geometry, binding energies, electronic properties, and atom‐in‐molecule characteristics demonstrates that P‐grap is a selective sensor for NOx among a mixture of various gases.

FEC and sulfone‐based co‐solvents are investigated as EC‐free electrolytes for LNMO∥LTO cells. FEC‐containing electrolytes demonstrate enhanced electrochemical stability by stabilizing the CEI and SEI layers, mitigating transition metal migration. Conversely, sulfone electrolytes form thinner CEIs and thick, sulfur‐rich SEIs, which are less effective ...

A Systemic Model for Understanding Business Interactions With Biodiversity and Ecosystems
ABSTRACT Biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation represent critical threats to human well‐being and economic resilience, challenging businesses to understand and manage their interdependence with natural systems. This study develops a systemic framework—the BioModel—that elucidates the reciprocal relationship between businesses, biodiversity, and ...
