Saccharomyces cerevisiae Yeast‐Based Supplement and Breast Milk Supply: A Randomised Placebo‐Controlled Trial

open access: yesMaternal &Child Nutrition, EarlyView.
Maternal brewer's yeast supplementation did not change the milk oligosaccharide (HMO) concentration, but more mothers felt their milk supply was increased, and fewer reported formula use by 6 months postpartum compared to those taking the placebo. This suggests the supplement may support breastfeeding, warranting further investigation in larger trials.

Towards a Process Calculus for Rest: Current State of the Art

open access: yesFoundations of Computing and Decision Sciences, 2015
SOA is a popular paradigm for building distributed systems that has gained a great recognition over past years. There are two main approaches to implementing SOA: SOAP-based and RESTful Web services.

Harnessing benzamides as plant stress inhibitors, growth promoters and in management of crop resilience—A review

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Benzamides boost crop resilience by inhibiting poly(ADP‐ribose) polymerase (PARP) to enhance stress tolerance and, through their antimicrobial, herbicidal, and insecticidal derivatives, they offer broad protection for sustainable crop improvement. Abstract Benzamides have emerged as potent stress inhibitors and growth promoters in plant biotechnology ...

SOA-Readiness of REST

open access: yes, 2014
SOA is a core concept for designing distributed applications based on the abstraction of software services. The main strength lies in the ability to discover services and loosely-couple them with service consumers across platform-boundaries. The evolved service protocol SOAP and its accompanying standards provide a stable, rich and wide-spread ...

No difference in mean middle cerebral artery blood velocity responses between lower‐ and upper‐body unilateral resistance exercise in untrained individuals

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Dynamic resistance exercise (RE) produces sinusoidal fluctuations in blood pressure that are mirrored by middle cerebral artery blood velocity (MCAv). However, whether lower‐ or upper‐body RE elicits a differential cerebrovascular response has not yet been examined.

Detection of SOA Antipatterns [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Like any other large and complex systems, user requirements may change for Service Based Systems (SBSs), as well as their execution contexts, in the form of evolution and maintenance. Consequently, these changes may cause degradation of design, and Quality of Service (QoS), resulting to the bad practiced solutions, commonly known as Antipatterns ...
