Homogeneously catalysed hydrogenation of unsaturated fatty acids to unsaturated fatty alcohols [PDF]

open access: yes, 1965
The use of copper and cadmium oxides or soaps as catalysts for the hydrogenation of unsaturated fatty acids to unsaturated fatty alcohols has been investigated. It is shown that copper soaps homogeneously activate hydrogen. When copper and cadmium oxides

Thermal Processing Creates Water‐Stable PEDOT:PSS Films for Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
Instead of using chemical cross–linkers, it is shown that PEDOT:PSS thin films for bioelectronics become water‐stable after a simple heat treatment. The heat treatment is compatible with a range of rigid and elastomeric substrates and films are stable in vivo for >20 days.

Interfacial Passivation for Enhanced Moisture Stability of Perovskite Solar Cells: Ammonium or Sulfonium?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
By directly comparing the impact of dual interfacial passivation by ammonium‐, sulfonium‐ and sulfoxonium‐based cations on the performance and stability of triple cation metal halide perovskite solar cells, it is found that it is the exact molecular structure of the cation, rather than the nature of the onium that influences the efficacy of passivation
