The Effect of Intolerance of Uncertainty on Indecisiveness in Anxiety and Obsessive‐Compulsive Disorders

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Intolerance of uncertainty (IU) describes a dispositional aversion to uncertainty. Recent research has identified IU as a causal contributor to pervasive decision difficulties (indecisiveness). Given that IU and indecisiveness occur across mental disorders, understanding whether IU's causal role in indecisiveness extends to clinical

Microbial Community Dynamics in Marine Water: Influence of Hydrocarbon Type and Exposure Time

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Marine environments are frequently impacted by petroleum‐derived hydrocarbons, which pose ecological risks because of their toxic, mutagenic, and carcinogenic potential. Microorganisms play a crucial role in hydrocarbon degradation, and understanding the influence of time and hydrocarbon type on microbial dynamics helps improve bioremediation ...

Demographic buffering in natural populations: A multi‐level perspective

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
We introduce a multi‐level framework that unites stochastic elasticities with nonlinear selection to test demographic buffering. Applying it across mammals reveals a key insight: ecological robustness to variability often decouples from evolutionary constraint, reshaping how we understand resilience under environmental stochasticity.
