The Utility of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) for Detecting Exercise‐Induced Changes in the Human Hand Epidermis

This study demonstrates that physical exercise induces measurable biochemical changes in the epidermis. FTIR spectroscopy detected significant post‐exercise increases in spectral peaks related to lipids, phospholipids, and carbohydrates, highlighting the method's potential for non‐invasive skin and metabolism monitoring in athletes.
