Psychological mediators of the associations between adverse and benevolent childhood experiences and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesJournal of Traumatic Stress, EarlyView.
Abstract Adverse and benevolent childhood experiences (ACEs and BCEs, respectively) are uniquely associated with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD (CPTSD); however, there is no systematic review on the mechanisms of these associations.

Rotational Anisotropy Raman Spectrometer for High‐Sensitivity Crystallographic Symmetry Analysis

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
We introduce rotational‐anisotropy Raman spectroscopy, an enhanced scheme that overcomes the limitations of traditional polarization‐resolved Raman techniques. This method reveals previously inaccessible phonon symmetries and resolves directional anisotropy of phonon‐polaritons in benchmark crystals, establishing a powerful new tool for characterizing ...

Emergence of Rashba Spin‐Orbit Coupling in Staggered‐Gyromagnetic Photonic Crystals

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Rashba spin‐orbit coupling emerges in a staggered‐gyromagnetic photonic crystal under a uniform out‐of‐plane magnetic bias. The staggered magnetization splits a four‐fold Dirac point into a Rashba band structure carrying helical spin textures, verified by a four‐band k‐p model.

The Contextual Autonomy Principle: When and Why Social Service Robots Are Perceived as Ethical

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As social service robots move into both public and private settings, perceived ethicality becomes a key condition of adoption. We propose that the same robotic capability can acquire different ethical meanings depending on context, governance form, and social presence. Across three studies, we show that restaurant (vs.

Assembling Engagement With Autonomy and Language ‐ A Neuroscientific Case Study With Digital Companions

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study addresses the need to understand human engagement with empathic Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) digital companions (DC), as these systems increasingly fulfil social and emotional roles in daily life. Motivated by the rapid adoption of DC technologies and their potential to reshape human–AI relationships, the study applies

Feeling Vulnerable With My AI Companion: Examining Well‐Being in Human‐AI Relationships

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Individuals resort to human‐AI relationships to fulfill psychological, social, and empathetic needs. Nevertheless, dilemmas arise from these interdependent relationships which, although destined to enhance users' well‐being, can also be detrimental to them.

Objective Swallowing Outcomes After Sparing Contralateral Low‐Neck Elective Radiotherapy in Oropharyngeal Carcinoma: Single‐Institution Clinical Experience

open access: yesOtolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Dysphagia is a major toxicity of chemoradiation (CRT) for oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC). Elective upper‐neck irradiation (UNI), omitting the low neck, may reduce esophageal inlet muscle (EIM) dose and improve swallowing outcomes compared to elective whole‐neck irradiation (WNI).

Association of Nasal Anatomy, Airflow, and Surgery With Olfactory Outcomes: A State‐of‐the‐Art Review

open access: yesOtolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Olfactory function is influenced by nasal airflow dynamics and anatomical variations within the nasal cavity. This narrative review evaluates how nasal anatomy and airflow relate to olfactory outcomes, with a particular focus on olfactory changes following functional nasal surgery. Data Sources PubMed.

Presence and abundance of airborne Botryosphaeriaceae conidia are governed by temperature and season in the Okanagan Valley, Canada

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Presence and abundance of Botryosphaeria dieback inoculum were determined using spore trapping and droplet digital polymerase chain reaction in British Columbia, Canada. Highest inoculum was recorded in spring (April–June) and again in summer (July–September). These results suggest early pruning in December–January can mitigate pruning wound infections.
