Reservoir‐Driven Neuromorphic Computing Based on Composite Rare‐Earth/Transition Metal Oxide Memristor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A defect‐engineered Ag/Gd2O3:Nb2O5/Pt rare earth composite oxide memristor enables stable multilevel reservoir states through pulse driven conductance modulation. Experimentally measured device responses are incorporated into a device aware reservoir computing framework for CIFAR‐100 image classification, highlighting the potential of rare earth ...

Optimizing NiMo Electrocatalyst Coatings for Hydrogen Evolution in Alkaline Electrolysis With The Machine Learning‐Guided Autonomous Platform CatBot

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a closed‐loop optimization workflow integrating CatBot, an automated synthesis and testing system, to discover NiMo hydrogen‐evolution catalysts. CatBot synthesised and evaluated 228 unique samples, identifying the best performing catalysts for transfer to nickel‐foam electrodes. The best candidate is highly active, reaching 1 Acm−2${

The social roots of consciousness

Cognitive Neuropsychology, 2020
In this article, Graziano, Guterstam, Bio, and Wilterson (2019) raise the claim that our intuitions about consciousness are very much guided by socially shared beliefs about conscious minds.

Consciousness and the social mind

Cognitive Systems Research, 2008
Phenomenal consciousness and social cognition are interlocking capacities, but the relations between them have yet to be systematically investigated. In this paper, I begin to develop a theoretical and empirical framework for such an investigation. I begin by describing the phenomenon known as social pain: the affect associated with the perception of ...

Social neuroscience and narrative consciousness

The "Brain Drain" and Social Consciousness

Problems of Economic Transition, 1992
With the liberalization of foreign economic relations and emigration laws, the "brain drain" is becoming a phenomenon that is acquiring a massive scale. In the last three years, the number of persons annually emigrating with the aim of taking up permanent residence abroad has increased from 40,000 to 500,000.

A Theoretical Model of Social Consciousness

Advances in Nursing Science, 2005
The article presents a theoretical model of social consciousness developed from nurses' life histories. A 3-position dialectical framework--acquired, awakened, and expanded social consciousness--makes visible the way people respond to social injustice in their lives and in the lives of others.
