Imagination and social movements
Current Opinion in Psychology, 2020Whether explicitly mentioned or not, imagination plays a key role in social movements. People's dissatisfaction with what is, their imagining of how things once were better, or of how things may become, often supports social movements. Social movements can, in turn, bring about new imaginations for people.

Social Movements and Resistance
2017Although social movements are concerned with resistance, there has been a surprisingly little effort towards conceptualizing and problematising resistance within social movement studies. This chapter aims to address such a gap. It shows how a deeper understanding of resistance can in turn allow to better grasp diverse social movements.
