Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3) and Social Network Analysis (SNA): Mapping Capabilities in Calabria [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The concept of smart specialization strategy (S3) requires regions to have an extended knowledge of their institutional contexts in order for policymakers to design the most adapted place-based innovation policies. In the context of the next programming period of EU Cohesion Policy 2021–2027, this paper explores the use of social network analysis (SNA)

The Nonadiabatic Nature of the Substituent Effects in Azobenzene

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Unified nonadiabatic switching: thermal Z→E isomerization of para‐substituted azobenzenes proceeds through a single nonadiabatic rotational pathway. The iconic bell‐shaped Hammett plot is a σp artifact, not a reflection of a mechanistic change, exposing the limits of single‐reference density functional theory (DFT) and establishing activation entropy ...

Interaction, critical thinking, and social network analysis (SNA) in online courses

open access: yesThe International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning, 2013
<p>This study tried to ascertain a possible relationship between the number of student moderators (1, 2, and 3), online interactions, and critical thinking of K-12 educators enrolled in an online course that was taught from a constructivist approach. The course topic was use of technology in special education.

Blood pressure effects of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists: Mechanisms, trial evidence and Real‐world data

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists modestly lower blood pressure across diverse patient populations, including those without diabetes. These effects appear largely independent of glycaemic control and offer additive value in high‐risk patients with overlapping comorbidities.

What characterises well‐connected schools? Exploring centrality in inter‐organisational school networks

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Within the educational literature, inter‐organisational school networks are commonly considered instruments for administration, management, and school improvement, but are rarely scrutinised as objects of study themselves. Conversely, in organisational studies, this perspective is given more prominence.

Social Network Analysis with sna

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Software, 2007
Modern social network analysis---the analysis of relational data arising from social systems---is a computationally intensive area of research. Here, we provide an overview of a software package which provides support for a range of network analytic ...

Social Network and Sentiment Analysis of the #Nutrition Discourse on Twitter

open access: yesProceedings
Social media platforms allow people to share information, connect, and build networks at an unprecedented scale with positive and negative consequences. Social network analysis (SNA) applies mathematical network and graph theory to visualise information ...

Multimodal Chromatography in the Downstream Processing of mAb‐Based Products: Mechanisms, Strategies, and Applications

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multimodal chromatography has emerged as a powerful tool for the purification of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and their derivatives—including antibody fragments (Fabs), Fc‐fusions, bispecific (BsAb), and antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs)—offering enhanced selectivity through the integration of ionic, hydrophobic, hydrogen‐bonding, and π–π ...

Green Intellectual Capital: A Green Shoot in the Vast Field of Green

open access: yesKnowledge and Process Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The need for environmental awareness and “green management” in business and management has led to green becoming a vast field that needs to be parceled out to identify the green shoots. Knowledge is emerging as the key factor in developing green awareness, which in business has come to be called green intellectual capital.

Social Supports in HE: a Social Network Analysis (SNA) Approach to Understanding Learning Experience

open access: yesIrish Journal of Academic Practice, 2021
In this study, we combined social network analysis with mixed methods approaches to examine social roles and network patterns in social network data gathered from one complete class group of learners in a higher education setting. We investigated the strength of social ties to examine the support activity of this learner sub-group, with a particular ...
