Multifunctional Adhesive Hydrogel for Rapid Cardiac Hemostasis and Antibacterial Protection

A multifunctional polyacrylamide/gelatin/tannic acid hydrogel (PGT) is presented for rapid cardiac hemostasis under wet, dynamic conditions. Surface tannic acid coating enables instantaneous wet adhesion, accelerates coagulation, and confers antibacterial activity within a single platform.

Piezoresistivity Enhancement by Graphite Flake Alignment in Thin Composite Films for Dielectric Elastomer Switches

This article presents dielectric elastomer switch (DES) materials, based on composite thin films. Alignment of graphite flakes due to their physical confinement within the thin films lead to much stronger piezoresistive responses than bulk composites, while their durability exceeds that of conventional liquid‐based DES materials.

Liquid Crystalline Elastomers in Soft Robotics: Assessing Promise and Limitations

Liquid crystalline elastomers (LCEs) are programmable soft materials that undergo large, anisotropic deformation in response to external stimuli. Their molecular alignment encodes directional actuation in a monolithic structure, making them long‐standing candidates for soft robotic systems.
