Unsocial Networks - Restoring the Social in Social Networks
2009 42nd Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, 2009This paper discusses multiple meanings of the idea of social networks. It discusses how the most common view of social networks in Information Systems, as the result of the interaction of autonomous agents, could be tested. It then introduces research that falsifies that premise.

Social networking, social network technologies, and the enterprise
Proceedings of the 2011 iConference, 2011This research proposal sets out to investigate the organizational consequences of Corporate Social Networking Technologies (cSNT). Despite the rapid uptake of cSNT very little is known about the uses in and effects of SNT on enterprises. My main contention is that these technologies are embedded within a network of social ties.

We consider a population of interconnected individuals that, with respect to a piece information, at each time instant can be subdivided into three (time-dependent) categories: agnostic, influenced, and evangelists. A dynamical process of information diffusion evolves among the individuals of the population according to the following rules.

An Improved Social Network Analysis Method for Social Networks
2013Recently, Social Network Service (SNS) users are rapidly increasing, and Social Network Analysis (SNA) methods are used to analyze the structure of user relationship or messages in many fields. However, the SNA methods based on the shortest distance among nodes is time-consuming in measuring computation time.
