Determining Terminal Velocities of Selected Insects and Substitute Materials to Develop Future Test Procedures for Insect‐Friendly Mowing Technology

open access: yesJournal of Applied Entomology, Volume 150, Issue 3, Page 310-320, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Agricultural grasslands are vital habitats for insects that provide key ecosystem services. However, conventional rotary mowers are proposed to cause significant insect mortality due to the high rotational speed of their blades and the resulting airflow.

Low YTHDC1 Expression Upregulates FSCN1 to Promote Nuclear F‐Actin Formation and Facilitate Double‐strand DNA Breaks Repair in TMZ‐Resistant Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
This study revealed that low expression of YTHDC1 in TMZ‐resistant GBM cells leads to increased FSCN1 expression, which is suppressed by m6A modification. FSCN1 activates the CDC42/N‐WASP/Arp2/3 axis in the cell nucleus by recruiting the guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) family member FGD1, thereby promoting F‐actin polymerization in the nucleus.

Potential for the American toad (Anaxyrus americanus) to contribute to biological control in a vegetable agroecosystem

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract The American toad (Anaxyrus americanus) is a native insectivorous amphibian common in agricultural fields in eastern North America. Past research on this and related species suggests potential for positive or negative effects on pest populations, depending on the prevalence of intraguild predation.

Design Challenges to Expand the Functionality of Drones: Deformable Rotorcraft and Nature‐Inspired Flapping Drones

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
This review systematically analyzes deformable drones, including extendable, foldable, and tilting configurations, along with nature‐inspired flapping rotorcraft. By classifying deformation principles and structural mechanisms, design trade‐offs, functional capabilities, and future development potential are highlighted.

Insights into Api m 10‐Isoforms and Splice Variants: More Than One Major IgE‐Binding Epitope

open access: yesClinical and Translational Allergy, Volume 16, Issue 3, March 2026.
The structural, clinical and preclinical insights into Api m 10 and its immunodominant epitopes gained in this study provide substantial insights for the future development of active and passive VIT as well as further treatment approaches. ABSTRACT Background Honey bee venom (HBV) often triggers severe IgE‐mediated allergies.
