Characterization of a bentonite and its permanent aqueous suspension

open access: yesJournal of the Turkish Chemical Society, Section A: Chemistry, 2020
A bentonite sample taken from Reşadiye (Tokat/Turkey) deposite was mixed with distilled water. The formed permanent aqueous suspension was separated by decantation from the flocculated solid fraction.

Sodium Bentonite in Diets for Growing Ducks

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1980
Abstract Diets containing 16% protein and 3143 kcal ME/kgin which total diet was replaced by 0, 2.4, 4.8, or 9.1% (by weight) sodium bentonite (SB) were fed to White Pekin ducklings from 0 to 7 weeks of age. At 7 weeks duckling weights of the treatment groups were not significantly different from controls.

Multi‐Scale Bionic Structure Constructs Biomass Flame‐Retardant Thermal Insulation Foam Material

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by mussel adhesion and hierarchical brick‐and‐mortar architectures, a cellulose‐based biomimetic foam is constructed by anchoring bentonite nanosheets onto a polydopamine‐decorated cellulose nanofiber network. The resulting foam combines low thermal conductivity with intrinsic flame retardancy and full biodegradability, presenting a ...
